Enhancing Your Professional Circle: The age old wisdom, ‘It’s not what you know, it’s who you know” highlights the value of personal connections in career growth. Despite the utility of virtual meetings, face-to-face interactions forge the strongest bonds of trust. Authentic networking, much like friendship, thrives on personal engagement.
Vendors
Our gatherings maintain a technical and operational emphasis, and for this reason, we maintain a selective approach regarding attendance. Sales personnel are not included, aligning with our event’s specialized context. Vendors who complement the theme of our event are introduced formally and allotted a brief three-minute window to articulate the challenges they address.
Workshops
Security is about tackling and resolving issues proactively. We tailor our workshops to member preferences, delving into pressing topics. Our experts, sourced from our membership, local enterprises, and leading providers, ensure that learning and access to resources remain at the forefront.
The Economics of Membership
Membership is $59 annually. At $59 per year, membership affords you the chance to mingle with professionals who take their career as seriously as you do. This small investment is quickly recouped through the value of our complimentary offerings and can be refunded if you decide it’s not for you. Join us for a variety of professional gatherings from networking to specialized workshops, all tailored for the security sector in Phoenix.
These networking events are consistently scheduled for Wednesdays or Thursdays from 6-8pm, maintaining a business casual atmosphere. To ensure a focused and relevant experience, we welcome only the technical and leadership echelons of the security sector, exclusive of +1s and sales personnel, spanning across all industries.

After 20 years of attending events, we wanted something better:
Networking
Throughout the event, we are interacting with as many members as possible. Spurring connections between people. Introducing people from different industries. Helping people break the ice. Giving everyone the freedom, confidence and satisfaction of meeting new people and increasing their people network.
Venues Ambiance Music Food Parking
You are spending your time away from friends and family to attend events like we have for years. The Venue, Ambiance, Music, Food & Parking have to all contribute to its effectiveness. We poll members about these essential details to stay on top of what is working and why.
PRIVACY
What happens after an event where you entered your name and email address? You get spammed by the sponsors and everyone that paid to have the list of attendees. We do not do that. We do not saturate our events with vendors. The Vendors that do have presence inside our events get 3 mins to address the audience and an area to showcase their tech while keeping in the them of education, awareness and being a resource.
Networking events have a 'cloudy' reputation
We’ve all been to events where we didn’t find any value then spammed afterwards…
Live events have a cloudy reputation in large part because the focus is usually on getting the highest sponsorship dollars to feed inflated ego’s, salaries and unnecessary spending. SecuritySocial.org is a lean mean and logical machine with strict adhesion to our core competencies of ‘connecting people’ and ‘problem / solution discussions’
“the primary currency is knowledge, and the primary goal is your professional growth.”
Too often, security professionals find themselves in a sea of sales pitches at networking events, which can overshadow the event’s core intent—career advancement and industry learning. We recognize that this common occurrence can detract from the rich, educational experience you seek.
At our upcoming event, we’re committed to keeping the focus on professional development for security experts. That’s why we’ve implemented a strict ‘no salespeople’ admission policy to ensure that our attendees can engage in genuine knowledge exchange without the usual disruptions. However, we value the role that relevant industry partners play in enriching our conversations and providing insights into emerging solutions.
We’ve carefully selected a handful of sponsors who align with our mission and have limited their presentations to a brief 3-minute spotlight. This ensures that their contributions are concise, valuable, and integrated smoothly into the flow of the evening—avoiding any ‘in-your-face’ experiences. Our sponsors receive high-value returns through targeted exposure to a dedicated audience, and our attendees gain additional industry insights without the hard sell. It’s a win-win where the primary currency is knowledge, and the primary goal is your professional growth.

Phoenix is underserved when it comes to Physical and Cyber Security
$316 Billion GDP
Yes, the annual Gross Domestic Product emerging from the Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, and Scottsdale Metro is truly impressive. Home to hundreds of companies employing security personnel, our economic hub is tasked with protecting billions of dollars in physical and digital assets, housed within sprawling buildings and extensive data centers.
88,000 employed
With nearly 88,000 security roles across the valley, our group captures an expanding segment of this specialized workforce. Each member stands at the forefront of influencing their organizations’ decisions on security products, solutions, and hardware adoption or upgrades. Local networking opportunities that offer the extensive reach and targeted engagement found at SecuritySocial.org are scarce, making our platform a vital conduit for these influential professionals.
4.8 Million People
Phoenix, America’s fifth-largest city, with a population of 4.8 million — and it’s still expanding. Alongside its growth, the demand for security solutions and skilled professionals continues. Our city’s residents, who embrace the sizzling summers, serve as a beehive of enterprise, yet it remains an untapped market ripe for security advancements, presenting vast opportunities for those in the know.

I've seen a lot and we're doing it better.
Jim Hansen served in the Marine Corps. Starting as a State Department contractor found his way working inside key companies (SAIC, BAE Systems, Chenega, Guidehouse) to his current post at Integrated Security Technologies. His strategic vision has consistently driven success and innovation, earning him recognition as a prominent figure in the field and awards valued at $1.5 Billion USD.
Jim has attended 100’s of networking events over his career and is a wealth of information on what works and what does not work in the Physical Security Space for both Government and Commercial.
Today's networking effort pays off tomorrow.
Nick Angeli learned to code out of necessity to be able to sell technology better than the next guy. His first success was selling fashion accessories online before there was Amazon. Automation was his skill set with a natural ability to sell. Next he switched to Hi Frequency Algo trading where he tuned code and created a business model that spanned 16 countries and countless networking events for 14 years.
Nick’s passion project in the live event industry combined his technical and sales ability to secure contracts with national entertainment brands leading to his entry into the Cyber Security Event space at BlackHat Las Vegas 2023.
Working with InHouseTicketing was the most comprehensive ticketing solution I’ve seen. It was a great value for our brand. Nick’s energy and creativity is a major asset for any event operators ticketing revenue and marketing needs. Nick is very responsive and pays attention to details. I’d recommend and happy to work with Nick again.
Rad Franco – Regional Manager at Rockstar Energy Drink
I find Nick to be a self-starter and astute learner. He has strong interpersonal skills which allows him to connect with others by finding relatable experiences and sound inquiry and helping countless companies. His opportunity identification and research orientation dovetails with his problem solving and technical capabilities. In this space, Nick’s leadership initiative yields genuine interest and energy which allows him to compete and succeed where the rate of change is increasing.
Alan Bunce – Director, Advisor Relations at TD Ameritrade Institutional
Innovation, creation, perspective, technical, salesmanship, tenacity, perseverance and value are all words that I would use to describe working with Nick. For the past 20 years he has produced impressive results with his skills across very different industries. I have no doubt in his capabilities and now in the security networking event space I am watching with interest to see what magic he brings to this industry.
